Edwardian Mahogany Mantel with Caddy Top

This elegant mantel, made from beautiful mahogany, has a sweeping curved shelf across the frieze, supported by a single ogee bracket.

The mantels fire opening is framed with delicate moulding reflected in the moulded edge of the two piece caddy top.

Edwardian mantle in Walnut

A George III style walnut chimneypiece c1903
featuring a book matched burr walnut frieze veneer
panel with fine moulding flanked by Grecian key
pattern terminals. The inside moulding is finely fluted
with roundels in the corners ending in delicate
block feet. The outside rope twist decoration is
carved from solid as is the reoccurring greek key
pattern beneath the imposing mantle shelf. This
fine quality piece needs to be seen and would
complement a cast iron insert.

Edwardian mantle

A tall mahogany mantle from 1908 with chunky fluted
columns and Corinthian capitals with boxwood stringing
bordering the large oval mirror. The full length
columns terminate in a socle which stands on
tall moulded foot blocks. The lower shelf is
supported ny triple brackets and the main
mantlepiece has gadrooned decorations beneath it.

This manelpiece came from Whalley Range in
Manchester with a canopy on legs f377and tile panels f359.
